/Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/db/mysql

is your old pre-upgraded mysql data. If your MAMP PRO 4 is up and running smoothly, and your MySQL data has been upgraded, you can delete this directory.

You can revert back to MAMP PRO 3.52 by downloading it here

Install MAMP PRO 3.52 over your current installation of MAMP PRO 4.xx. Do not use the uninstaller in /Applications/MAMP PRO, this will delete your database data.


One Last Step ... 


First back up your entire /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/db directory.


1. Did you make any modifications to your database while using the MAMP PRO 4 demo ?

NO - Rename (or remove) your /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/db/mysql56 folder

YES - Rename your /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/db/mysql folder

          Rename your /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/db/mysql56 folder to 

                                /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/db/mysql
